Although results demonstrated an absence of indirect effects, emotion regulation was negatively associated with overall ODD and anger and defiance, but not spitefulness. Findings illustrate how increased attention toward the study of ODD as distinct dimensions contributes to our ability to parse out heterogeneity among children with the disorder.
