Summary:The single crystal X-ray diffraction structure for a new cocrystal of C-propyl pyrogallol[4]arene and the pharmaceutical gabapentin is discussed. Slight changes in solvent environment can lead to large changes in structure of the cocrystal. Variation of the parameters of cocrystallization of pyrogallolarenes with gabapentin leads to the novel structure presented herein [space group P-1, a = 11.7633(9) Å, b = 15.6968(12) Å, c = 17.8554(14) Å, V = 2977.06 Å 3 . α = 71.987(2)°, β = 82.735(3)°,γ = 71.812(3)°].
