Description
Summary:In an almost unanimous way, literary critics have argued that Pío Baroja wrote articles for Vida Nueva magazine (1898-1900) with the pen-name of "Pedro Recio de Tirteafuera". As a periodical, Vida Nueva was a channel of political and literary expression for the Spanish intellectual youth of the end of the 19th century. However, it has been a seldom studied review, mainly due to the difficulty of finding a complete and suitable collection of all the published issues. Trough a bibliographical and historical research, it is legitimate to state that the authorship of those articles must be attributed not to Pío Baroja but to Dionisio Pérez, an andalusian journalist and writer.
