The photoelectron spectrum of ArXe obtained using resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization
The photoelectron spectrum of the heteronuclear rare gas dimer ArXe was determined using resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization-photoelectron spectroscopy (REMPI-PES). Three photoelectron peaks are observed corresponding to the production of ArXe+ in the A2Σ+1/2 B2Π3/2, and B2Π1/2 states. The ki...

Summary: | The photoelectron spectrum of the heteronuclear rare gas dimer ArXe was determined using resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization-photoelectron spectroscopy (REMPI-PES). Three photoelectron peaks are observed corresponding to the production of ArXe+ in the A2Σ+1/2 B2Π3/2, and B2Π1/2 states. The kinetic energies of these peaks are used to determine lower limits for the dissociation energies of the ionic states. |
